CLARITY

“During my time at GLO’ART I tried to work with forms that engaged viewers through the act of seeing. Both works were created out of construction plywood to allude to the creative process as a utilitarian act. To highlight the nature of the material, portions were burned with an open flame. When creating Clarity I was thinking about how an object could be an expression of a state of mind that occurs when an individual has self-awareness. Following Clarity, Aperture derives its form from a human eye, and how through the senses the body is a passage between internal and external space.”
